Job summary

Carey Group in West Cumbria is seeking a Project Manager to lead ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring alignment with quality, safety, and client requirements. You will manage the project team and collaborate with engineers, suppliers and the client to deliver milestones on time.

The role requires a higher qualification in civil/structural engineering, strong planning skills, and experience with infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Higher level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Structural Engineering.
• Technically competent and able to plan proactively.
• Ability to programme/schedule work.
• Experience as Project Manager with hard landscaping/groundworks/infrastructure contractor.
• Commercially and contractually aware.

Responsibilities

• Quality management and QA/QC adherence.
• Ensure safety targets, RAMS, permits and inspections.
• Ensure product design, manufacture, and installation meet project requirements.
• Plan and control deliveries, lifting and handling.
• Oversee delivery of structural designs and manage design changes.
• Ensure materials meet specs and QA/QC processing.
• Monitor programmes to meet milestones and KPIs.
• Budget management with Contracts Manager; monitor costs and report.
