Job summary

Careys is looking for an experienced Project Manager in West Cumbria to lead ongoing and upcoming projects with strong RC structures experience. This permanent position offers long-term career development and the chance to work on a high-profile project.

You will oversee Quality, Safety, Design, Materials, Programme, and Commercial management while guiding a capable project team to meet milestones and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Higher-level civil/structural engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects to programme.
• Strong planning and scheduling capabilities.
• Commercial awareness and contract understanding.
• Experience with hard landscaping/groundworks/infrastructure contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery in Quality Management and QA/QC procedures.
• Oversee safety targets, RAMS, permits, and inspections.
• Ensure design, manufacture and installation meet project requirements.
• Plan deliveries, lifting, and handling aligned to milestones.
• Oversee design delivery and timely information release.
• Manage materials quality and QA/QC process.
• Monitor programmes, milestones and KPIs.
• Work with Contracts Manager to manage budgets and costs.
• Mentor and develop project team and drive performance.
• Align client requirements with project scope and quality.
