Job summary

New Directions Education is seeking Welsh-speaking Primary Teachers for supply roles across Denbighshire. Roles cover Nursery through KS2, with opportunities for long-term placements and immediate starts.

You will work in Welsh-medium and bilingual classrooms, delivering engaging lessons and adapting to last-minute cover needs. We welcome both experienced teachers and NQTs/ECTs, offering regular and varied supply work, competitive pay, and a dedicated account manager.

Job Specification

New Directions Education are recruiting for Welsh Speaking Teachers who would be able to cover various classes within local schools.

We are experiencing a surge in demand. Positions can start immediately, and we can offer you work in as many schools as you wish.

Successful applicants will be covering classes ranging from Nursery through to Year 6, but if you have a Key Stage preference, we will match you up as much as possible.

Due to the current climate, the nature of our work is quite fast paced with supply teachers required to cover last minute absences at times. We will also be able to offer you long term placements if this is of something of interest to you.

We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.

As a Welsh Speaking Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:

• Have a good understanding of the Welsh language
• Teach all areas of the school curriculum
• Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
• Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
• Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
• Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
• Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
• Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
• Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
