Job summary

Elementa Wales is seeking an energetic Welsh-speaking PE Teacher to deliver lessons across Torfaen schools, teaching through Welsh and supporting pupil confidence and engagement in sport.

Fluency in Welsh is essential, with QTS and strong PE curriculum knowledge. You will manage behaviour effectively, adapt lessons for all learners, and collaborate with staff to promote pupil wellbeing and progress.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Welsh – essential.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A positive, energetic and professional approach.
• EWC registration, or willingness to register.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new application.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging PE lessons through Welsh medium, in line with the relevant curriculum.
• Encourage participation, teamwork and positive attitudes towards physical activity.
• Teach a range of sports and physical activities across the curriculum.
• Manage behaviour effectively in classroom and practical settings.
• Adapt teaching and activities to meet the needs of all learners.
• Work collaboratively with school staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
