Job summary

Elementa Wales is seeking a fluent Welsh-speaking PE Teacher to work across Torfaen schools. You will deliver engaging PE lessons through Welsh and promote participation and inclusion across all abilities.

The role is contract/long-term/supply with ASAP start. Fluency in Welsh is essential and you should have QTS and strong classroom management to support pupils’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Welsh essential.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• EWC registration or willingness to register.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete a new application.

About the role

Elementa Wales is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic fluent Welsh-speaking PE Teacher to work with schools across Torfaen.

If you're passionate about sport, physical activity and helping young people build confidence both on and off the pitch, we'd love to hear from you! Fluency in Welsh is essential, as teaching will take place through the medium of Welsh.

You'll deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons, encouraging pupils of all abilities to get involved, develop new skills and enjoy being active.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new application.

Desirable:

• Previous experience teaching PE within a Welsh-medium secondary school.
• Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4.
• Experience supporting extracurricular sport or school teams.
