Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a temporary, part-time Welsh Medium Learning Support Assistant in Cardiff. You will support pupils across primary ages, working with class teachers and using Welsh to communicate with pupils and staff.

The role requires Welsh language proficiency, a Level 2/3 TA qualification or relevant classroom experience, and a proactive, flexible approach to learning and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or relevant classroom experience.
• Welsh as a first or second language with the ability to communicate confidently in Welsh.
• Experience supporting children within a UK primary school.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across a range of primary age groups in Welsh-medium schools.
• Work alongside class teachers to deliver high-quality classroom support.
• Communicate confidently through the medium of Welsh to pupils and staff.
• Contribute to pupils’ learning and wellbeing in a supportive environment.
