Job summary

Itec Skills and Employment is seeking a Welsh Language Officer & Marketing Support to create Welsh content, translate materials, and assist with marketing initiatives that reinforce our Welsh language commitment.

The role involves producing bilingual case studies, social media posts, and videos, while ensuring Welsh-language accessibility across internal and external communications. A degree and Welsh proficiency are required, with a driving license and DBS check provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Marketing Executive to create Welsh language content and promote Welsh language and culture.
• Produce social media posts in English and Welsh and support video content creation.
• Translate internal communications, social media posts and blogs into Welsh and ensure Welsh-language accessibility on the website.
• Assist in developing Welsh-language marketing materials and literature.
• Support HR and other teams to promote Welsh-language resources and learning opportunities.

Contract: Full, permanent. Part-time options are available and can be discussed.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 09:00am to 16:30pm

Location: Cardiff, CF11 8TT (On-site)

Salary: £24,500 to £26,780 a year

About the role

The Welsh Language Officer & Marketing Support will support the business’ Welsh commitment through content creation, translation, and networking. They will support the Marketing Executive with writing case studies, creating videos, and writing social media posts in English and Welsh, as well as working towards the marketing strategy that supports contract delivery and raises the overall profile of the business.

Your impact

• Collaborate with the Marketing Executive to create positive news stories promoting Welsh language and culture.
• Produce engaging video content for ‘Welsh Wednesdays.’
• Represent the company at external Welsh-language meetings.
• Identify opportunities to promote the Welsh language and culture internally and externally.
• Assist in developing Welsh-language marketing materials and literature.
• Support operational teams in promoting Welsh-language resources and learning opportunities.
• Work with HR to deliver the Welsh action plan and projects funded by the Welsh promotion grant (Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol).
• Maintain Cawarkan Cymraeg accreditation.
• Translate internal communications, social media posts, and blogs into Welsh.
• Writing and translating social media posts and blogs into the Welsh language.
• Ensure Welsh-language accessibility on the company website.
• Maintain Welsh-language access to key internal policies and documents.
• Translate external Welsh-language enquiries.
• Assisting with any other Marketing related tasks to support the Marketing Executive and the team, including but not limited to social media content creation and scheduling, case study collection and creation.
