Job summary

Holland & Barrett in Barnsley is seeking a friendly Retail Assistant to welcome customers and help them find products aligned with their wellness goals. You will recommend solutions with confidence while delivering outstanding service in a busy store.

Maintain shelves, support promotions, and keep displays tidy. You’ll work with the team, use tablets and digital tools, and develop product knowledge through our Qualified to Advise training to guide customers on their wellness journey.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and helping them find the right products for their wellness goals.
• Recommending products with confidence while delivering outstanding customer service.
• Keeping shelves stocked and merchandising displays to a high standard.
• Supporting promotions, maintaining store presentation and ensuring excellent operational standards.
• Working collaboratively with your team to achieve store goals and create a positive shopping experience.
• Use a consultative approach to understand customers' needs and recommend the right products, whether available in store or online.
• Completing our Qualified to Advise training to build your product knowledge and provide trusted guidance.
• A genuine passion for helping people and delivering great customer experiences.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable style.
• Curiosity about health and wellness, with a willingness to learn.
• The ability to stay organised, work as part of a team and adapt in a busy retail environment.
• Confidence using technology, including tablets and digital tools.
