Job summary

York College & University Centre is seeking a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer on a fixed-term maternity cover. The role focuses on delivering health and wellbeing and safeguarding support across the college, with duties in the Wellbeing Hub, tutorials, and group sessions.

The ideal candidate will have safeguarding/health and wellbeing experience, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to engaging students.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding, health and wellbeing or FE settings.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Deliver health and wellbeing and safeguarding initiatives across the College.
• Be a key presence in the Wellbeing Hub, offering drop-ins and booked appointments.
• Lead planning and coordination of college‑wide safeguarding/wellbeing events and campaigns.
