Job description

The Growth Company's (GC) Ministry of Justice (MoJ) Personal Wellbeing team has an exciting opportunity for a Wellbeing Key Worker to support individuals under the supervision of the National Probation Service. The role focuses on helping people improve their health and wellbeing, overcome barriers, and achieve sustainable progress towards employment, training, and education through the delivery of tailored support, guidance, and wellbeing interventions.

MoJ supports men on probation to build the skills, confidence, and connections needed to make positive and lasting changes in their lives. Through tailored one-to-one support, we help individuals improve their wellbeing, strengthen relationships, overcome challenges, and develop the tools they need to move forward and create a more positive future.

This is a split role between HMP Marshgate and Doncaster community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Skilled at building positive relationships with service users and partner organisations.
• Able to work effectively with individuals within a Criminal Justice, rehabilitation, or support setting.
• Knowledgeable about local health, wellbeing, and community support services.
• Committed to continuous professional development and acting on feedback.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car is preferred.

Skills Required:

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and partnership-working skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and achieve performance targets.
• Experience using digital platforms and technology to deliver support services.Competence in completing assessments and producing high-quality action plans.
• Understanding of wellbeing support and behaviour change approaches.
• Knowledge of quality and compliance requirements within Justice or support services.
• Awareness of approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, Mental Health First Aid, ACEs, or Substance Misuse support is desirable.
• Ability to work in line with organisational values, safeguarding, and health and safety requirements.
