Catch22 invites applications for a Wellbeing Practitioner within the Personal Wellbeing service, covering Thames Valley. You will support ex-offenders with emotional regulation and daily living skills, working closely with HMPPS and partners to deliver impact.

The role requires a full UK driving license, and working across Oxford, High Wycombe and Slough. Permanent, full-time, 38 hours per week, with DBS and vetting checks as part of the process.

Qualifications

  • Driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
  • Evidence of continual professional development.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Qualification relevant to rehabilitation of offenders (e.g., criminology/criminal justice/social care/mental health/IAG).

Responsibilities

  • Support service users to develop strategies to manage emotions and deliver skills training to boost self-confidence.
  • Help service users increase daily living activities and advocate with multi-agency partners.
  • Support the team in achieving Catch22 Justice objectives: innovate, revitalise, and reform delivery of Justice Services.

Job Description

This post presents an exciting opportunity to become a Wellbeing Practitioner at our Personal Wellbeing service, covering the Thames Valley area. Commissioned by HMPPS, these services are focused on supporting adult male ex-offenders across the following pathways:

  • Family and Significant Others
  • Lifestyle and Associates
  • Social Inclusion

Main Accountabilities

  • Supporting service users to develop strategies to manage emotions, and designing and delivering skills training, to foster self-confidence, by knowing how to access appropriate support.
  • Supporting service users to increase capacity to undertake activities to support daily living, and advocating for service users in conjunction with multi-agency partners,to engage with treatment and other professionals/services (MH teams/support groups).
  • Supporting our team in achieving our Justice Business Plan objectives:innovate, revitalise, and reformthe delivery of Justice Services.

This role will involve working in close partnership with delivery partners, HMPPS, the Voluntary Sector, and other Criminal Justice organisations, to promote and deliver our services, and achieve the required outputs and outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Driving License, and access to a vehicle.
  • Good basic education, including Maths and English GCSE, or equivalent.
  • Evidence of continual professional development.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office - Word and Excel.
  • Any qualification relevant to rehabilitation of offenders, for example criminology/ criminal justice/ social care/ mental health/ IAG/ Family Services/ Emotional Wellbeing/ Social Inclusion.
Additional Information

Additional Requirements: Successful post-holders will need to have a full UK Driving License and access to a personal vehicle for work purposes.
