Nottingham City Council is recruiting a Prevention Officer within the Nottingham Health and Care Point (NHCP). The role supports people to maintain independence, wellbeing and quality of life by providing face-to-face interventions, information, advice and guidance.

You will assess needs, identify risks, and work with partners to connect people to services that prevent escalation. The successful candidate will be compassionate, citizen-focused and capable of handling diverse situations with

Qualifications

• Experience in health, social care, housing or related setting.
• Ability to gather, analyse and interpret information to assess needs and determine outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; engaging with diverse groups.
• Experience working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.
• Understanding safeguarding principles and responding appropriately.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
