Job summary

Education Authority in Ballyclare High School is seeking an Emotional Wellbeing and Support Officer on a 2-year fixed-term contract (36 hours per week). The role reports to the Vice Principal Pastoral and focuses on pupil emotional health, wellbeing, and targeted interventions across all key stages.

You will work with school staff to implement evidence-based programmes, monitor outcomes, and liaise with parents and external agencies to support pupils’ emotional needs.

Qualifications

• Work alongside the teacher responsible for pupil emotional health and wellbeing across key stages.
• Lead emotional wellbeing interventions and develop action plans for student support.
• Provide specialist knowledge to staff to support pupils effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based group and individual interventions to improve emotional wellbeing.
• Identify pupils who would benefit from support and develop strategies with HoYs.
• Monitor interventions with data and report progress within school protocols.
• Develop relationships with parents and external agencies to support pupils.
