Hafod Housing Association Limited in Cwmbran is seeking a Wellbeing Coordinator for a part-time role (22.5 hours per week). You will plan and lead a varied activities programme to enhance residents’ wellbeing, build relationships with families, and support independence.
You will drive a company minibus for outings and community activities, requiring a valid licence and MIDAS training. A nurturing, inclusive environment and development opportunities are offered.
Make a real impact every day as a Wellbeing coordinator at Hafod.
We’re looking for a creative, compassionate and organised individual to join our team, delivering engaging and meaningful activities that enhance the wellbeing of our residents. You’ll design and lead a varied programme of activities, from arts and crafts and group discussions to outings and community engagement, ensuring every individual feels included, valued and connected.
This is a rewarding, people-focused role where you’ll build strong relationships with residents and their families, supporting them to continue hobbies, discover new interests and maintain their independence and sense of purpose.
No two days are the same, and your work will directly improve quality of life for those you support.
We put people first, offering a supportive team environment, opportunities for training and development, and the chance to make a genuine difference every day.
We’re unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
We’ll talk through your availability and what works for you, while making sure we cover the shifts the home needs to provide the best care for our residents.
This role involves travelling independently across our sites and services as part of day-to-day duties. You may have access to a company vehicle, but for most roles you’ll need to use your own vehicle.
Because of this, you’ll need to hold a full, valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle. If you use your own vehicle for work, you’ll also need appropriate insurance (for example business use).
If you’re unsure whether you can meet these requirements, please get in touch before applying and we’ll be happy to help.
You can find the full job description attached for a more detailed overview of the role.
Previous experience isn’t essential, your compassion, reliability and desire to help others are what count.
Please note that all successful applicants must be registered, or be prepared to register, with Social Care Wales (SCW) as a requirement of the role.
We’ll review all applications and if you’re shortlisted, we’ll get in touch to arrange an interview at Cwmbran House Care Home.
If you’re successful at the end of the recruitment process, we’ll offer you the role and begin your pre‑employment checks. This includes confirming your right to work and completing an enhanced DBS check, which we’ll organise and pay for.
If you’d like some tips or advice with the recruitment process, we’ve put together some helpful guidance, here.
We’re committed to ensuring a fair and inclusive recruitment process. If you need any reasonable adjustments or support at any stage, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.
