Job summary

Glenholme Healthcare Ltd is recruiting a Well-being and Activities Coordinator for Wendreth Court Care Home in March. The role focuses on planning and delivering a comprehensive wellbeing programme to residents, including social, physical, and cognitive activities.

You will work with residents, families, and staff to tailor activities to individual needs, promote engagement and independence, and support community links.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Creative, energetic, and person-centred approach to planning activities.
• Experience working in care settings with older people/dementia is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of a varied wellbeing and activities programme tailored to residents.
• Coordinate group and one-to-one sessions including arts, reminiscence therapy, music, games, and gentle exercise.
• Promote independence, dignity and choice in all wellbeing aspects.
• Develop personalised activity plans with input from residents and families.
• Organise events and celebrations within the home.
• Build relationships with external organisations to enhance activities.
• Monitor and evaluate activity effectiveness and maintain proper documentation.
• Support safe physical activity where qualified.
