Job summary

Caron Group invites applications for a Wellbeing / Activities Coordinator to enhance the quality of life for residents across its care homes in mid and south Wales. You will support a proactive wellbeing programme, plan engaging sessions and build partnerships to enrich residents’ daily experiences.

Demonstrated care for the elderly, a Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification, and at least 3 years in similar roles are essential.

Qualifications

• Essential Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification as stated.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in care of the elderly with passion for wellbeing.
• Ability to relate to and care for older people with dignity and respect.
• Understanding of the needs of older residents and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Assist Wellbeing Lead in creating meaningful activities and a lifestyle programme.
• Help produce and update an activities planner within budget.
• Organise events within the Home (birthdays, school visits, choirs, themed days).
• Develop local community partnerships to arrange suitable activities.
• Get to know residents and families to tailor activities (About Me Book).
• Arrange outings and ensure safety standards for mobility.
