Job summary

Summerville Care Home in Warrington is seeking an Activities Coordinator to deliver engaging, person-centred activities for residents. The role focuses on wellbeing, independence and social interaction, across group and one-to-one formats, tailored to individual interests and care needs.

Open to experienced candidates or those new to care, with training and support provided to develop in the role. Part-time, 20 hours per week, with DBS, uniform and benefits included.

Qualifications

• A creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• A genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, however candidates with transferable skills from roles such as hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.
• Tailor activities to individual interests, abilities and care needs.
• Building strong relationships to understand preferences and support inclusive participation for all residents, including those living with dementia.
