Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for Amarna House Care Home in Acomb, York. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator to deliver engaging activities that support residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being.

You will help maintain a safe living environment, assist with supplies, and build links with local communities to promote intergenerational activity.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills
• Understanding of wellbeing/interactions impact on residents
• Positive attitude toward older people
• Experience with older people in residential dementia setting

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe living and working environment
• Report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator and care staff
• Support with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities
• Help establish links with local communities to promote intergenerational activity
