Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for Edenbridge Manor Care Home in Edenbridge, Kent. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator in planning and delivering a diverse range of activities to engage residents and promote physical, cognitive and social wellbeing.

The role involves maintaining a safe home, reporting changes to the team, helping with supplies, and building links with the local community to encourage intergenerational activity.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must have effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Demonstrate understanding of the role interaction plays in well-being.
• Have a positive attitude toward older people.
• Have previously worked with older people in a residential Dementia setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a wide range of activities to engage residents’ physical, cognitive and social well-being.
• Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to the home’s positive image.
• Report changes in residents' condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for activities.
• Establish links with the local community to promote intergenerational activity.
