Job summary

Avante Care & Support is seeking an Activities & Wellbeing Coordinator at Amherst Court to design and deliver engaging activities for residents. You’ll promote independence and social connection through a mix of 1:1 and group sessions, outings, and cultural programs.

The role involves coordinating with staff, families, and volunteers, and may require minibus driving for outings. A compassionate, energetic, and organised approach will help enhance residents’ quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Creating meaningful experiences that promote independence and wellbeing
• Stimulating body and mind through planned and spontaneous activities
• Supporting residents to remain active in the community
• Collaborating with colleagues, families, and volunteers
• Driving the Avante minibus for outings (if needed)
• Coordinating group and 1:1 activities tailored to individual interests
• Ensure high standards of care in line with Avante’s Eden Alternative Philosophy
