Job summary

Avante Care & Support is seeking an Activities Coordinator at Bridge Haven to energize residents with creative, personalised activities, including social events, cultural programmes and outings. You will help residents stay active, engaged and happy through 1:1 support and group activities.

You will collaborate with staff and volunteers, may drive the minibus for outings, and tailor activities to individual interests while upholding the Eden Alternative philosophy.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering recreational or wellbeing activities (helpful but not essential).
• Able to work flexible hours including some weekends.
• Empathy and a genuine passion for improving residents' lives.

Responsibilities

• Creating meaningful experiences that promote independence and wellbeing
• Stimulating body and mind through planned and spontaneous activities
• Supporting residents to remain active in the community
• Collaborating with colleagues, families, and volunteers
• Driving the Avante minibus for outings (if needed)
• Coordinating group and 1:1 activities tailored to individual interests
• Ensure high standards of care in line with Avante’s Eden Alternative Philosophy
