Job summary

Avery Healthcare's Abbey Court Care Home in Cannock is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant to support residents with a range of engaging activities that promote physical, cognitive, and social wellbeing.

You'll work closely with the Wellbeing Coordinator and care team to create meaningful experiences, foster community links, and deliver person-centred activities in a compassionate, respectful environment. DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Understanding how interaction affects wellbeing.
• Positive attitude toward older people and commitment to stimulating activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to the home’s professional image.
• Report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
• Develop links with local community groups to promote intergenerational activity.
