Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for Amarna House Care Home in Acomb, York. You will assist the Wellbeing Coordinator to plan and deliver a varied programme of activities that support residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being.

Qualifications

• Clear communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to engage residents in activities that support well-being.
• Compassionate approach to elder care and social interaction.

Responsibilities

• Support the Wellbeing Coordinator with planning and delivering a wide range of activities.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming environment within the home.
• Report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to care staff.
• Establish links with local community groups to promote intergenerational activity.
