Our stunning new home, Statham Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built care facility situated in the picturesque village of Lymm in Cheshire. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with a variety of needs, including residential and nursing care. We prioritize safety, comfort, and care, reflecting the New Care vision. We employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care, and all staff are paid at least the national living wage.

We are seeking a kind, organized, and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The role involves assisting with meal preparation for residents and visitors. We offer a 35-hour contract at an hourly rate of £11.44. Shift times are 0800-1900, with alternate weekends.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Assist with food preparation and cooking as directed by the Head Chef / Assistant Chef.
2. Ensure all kitchen equipment and areas are cleaned according to schedules.
3. Maintain compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH, and HACCP requirements and legislation.
4. Follow instructions from the Head Chef and Chef.
5. Undertake daily pot washing duties.

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Previous experience in food services is desirable.
2. Experience working in a busy kitchen environment as part of a team is desirable.
3. Effective communication skills are essential.
4. A willingness to learn is essential.
5. No formal qualifications are required; training and development will be provided.
