Job summary

Academics is recruiting a Well-being Support Assistant in Chelmsford. The role supports pupils across EYFS to KS2 with SEND/SEMH needs. This is a full-time position, term-time only, starting ASAP with October 2026 start date.

The successful candidate will work with an inclusive team, teachers and SLT, providing differentiation and targeted support, plus regular CPD opportunities to develop skills in education and mental health support.

Qualifications

• Recent psychology graduate seeking education/therapy career.
• Strong communication and adaptability for SEND/SEMH needs.
• Experience or willingness to work with learners with barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to pupils with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Work with inclusion staff to differentiate tasks for students.
• Assist small groups or individuals on targeted tasks.
• Participate in high quality CPD provided by the school.
