Job summary

Aston Villa Football Club is seeking Welfare Support Officers to join the Safeguarding Team at Villa Park and the Sports Illustrated Warehouse. Roles cover matchdays and events, with required availability for Women’s First Team home matches (80%) and flexible scheduling across evenings and weekends.

You will respond to safeguarding incidents, support fans and guests, and work as part of the Matchday and Venue teams to ensure accurate real-time updates and thorough post-event reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience of working at events, ideally in safeguarding and welfare.
• Deliver professional customer service whilst solving problems under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate clearly.
• Experience in events or a sporting stadium would be ideal.

Responsibilities

• Respond to safeguarding and welfare incidents within the venue and resolve where possible.
• Be the first point of contact and escalate as needed, providing real-time updates to the control room.
• Attend briefs and debriefs with Matchday and Venue teams.
• Complete incident reports after each event.
