We represent the voice of Salford in campaigning to dispel stigma and influence political, social and cultural change around mental health. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct and practical difference to people in Salford who are experiencing financial difficulty, welfare rights challenges and mental health needs.
At least one year's experience delivering both welfare rights advice and debt advice in a relevant setting. Ability to understand the wishes and needs of people using mental health services and advocate appropriately. Effective engagement with vulnerable adults and positive working relationships with professionals across disciplines. Good negotiation, problem-solving and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise and manage a caseload while meeting standards, targets, and goals. Accurate record-keeping on a client management database.
