Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience delivering Welfare Benefit advice in a social welfare context.
• Experience of tribunal advice and representation desirable.
• Experience of working in a third/charity sector environment desirable.
• Experience engaging with clients through multiple channels with empathy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work toward targets.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients to understand problems and empower them to set priorities.
• Offer comprehensive benefits checks and explain entitlements available.
• Identify emergency issues and advise on next steps.
• Assess eligibility for grants and provide signposting/referrals as appropriate.
• Maintain detailed case records for continuity and reporting.
• Collaborate with team to support service delivery and quality improvements.
