Job summary

Citizens Advice Bath and NE Somerset is recruiting a generalist adviser for welfare benefits, housing and energy, plus non-monetary debt advice. You will take on casework, help clients understand rights and guide actions to resolve problems, and advocate for clients when needed.

You will work with Feeding Britain and The Genesis Trust food pantries, joining our Community Advice Team to deliver a holistic service across BANES and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Provide generalist level advice and ongoing casework focused on welfare benefits, housing and energy
• Offer non-monetary debt advice about priority debts and budgeting
• Help clients understand their rights and responsibilities and advocate on their behalf as needed
• Work with partners across BANES and voluntary/community sectors to deliver a holistic service
• Join the Community Advice Team and engage clients in outreach across the area
• Note: DBS check required; safeguarding and equality are core values of the organisation
