Job summary

Cleves is a friendly, community-focused school in Weybridge seeking a Welfare & Attendance Officer to lead daily first-aid operations and manage pupil attendance. The role supports wellbeing, safeguarding, and safeguarding practices, working closely with staff, families, and external agencies.

The position requires calm, decisive action in emergencies, strong communication, and solid administrative skills. A full-time pattern is offered with term-time plus INSET days.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to act calmly, quickly, and effectively in emergency medical situations.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with parents, staff, and external teams.
• Strong administrative capability with high attention to detail (SIMS/CPOMS desirable).
• Robust understanding of safeguarding practices (KCSIE) and First Aid regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily first-aid operations and manage the Welfare Room.
• Administer medications and IHCPs for complex conditions.
• Oversee attendance tracking, absence reporting and early intervention.
• Coordinate with safeguarding teams and families as needed.
