Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment is seeking an experienced Welding Technician in Rotherham to support high-quality engineering and fabrication training in a busy educational environment.

You will bring proven Fabrication and Welding skills, oversee workshop safety, prepare materials, and assist students and staff during practical sessions, helping learners develop practical industry-ready competencies in a modern workshop.

Qualifications

• Proven industry experience within Fabrication and Welding.
• Level 2 qualification in Fabrication and Welding.
• Level 2 English and Maths qualification (or willingness to work towards).

Responsibilities

• Prepare workshops, equipment, and materials for practical lessons, assessments, and demonstrations.
• Support students and teaching staff during practical Fabrication and Welding sessions.
• Ensure workshop equipment and machinery are maintained, safe, and ready for use.
• Distribute and control tools, materials, and consumables.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering replacement equipment and materials.
