Job summary

Select Plant Hire in the St Neots Depot is seeking experienced welders to join our team. You will support the fabrication and maintenance of plant and equipment on site, with a focus on safe operation and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Fabrication and welding experience across MAG and MMA.
• Strict commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to follow drawings and specifications.
• Reliable with high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fabrication and welding to required quality.
• Work safely and in line with company policies.
• Attend inductions and toolbox talks.
• Read and implement task sheets and method statements.
• Assess risks and maintain safe practices.
• Use correct tools, equipment and PPE.
• Maintain plant, equipment and tools.
• Inspect and report defects.
• Complete timesheets and documentation.
• Liaise with Supervisors on work priorities.
• Contribute to safety initiatives including near-miss reporting.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Attend relevant training and development activities.
