Job summary

TeacherActive in Swansea is seeking a Welding Technician to join an FE education setting on a part-time basis (30 hours per week). Immediate start, PAYE basis, £14.25 per hour.

You will prepare materials, tools and equipment, maintain workshop stock, supervise learners, and participate in risk assessments. The role emphasizes safety, organisation, and reliable performance in a busy workshop environment.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an FE education setting in Swansea who are looking to appoint a Welding Technician. The setting is committed to providing learners with an appropriate practical working environment that supports effective teaching and learning.

The setting is looking to take on a Welding Technician on a part-time basis, working 30 hours per week. The successful Welding Technician will prepare materials, tools and equipment, maintain workshop equipment and stock levels, assist with supervising learners, organise the issue and return of equipment and participate in risk assessments of practical activities.

The Successful Welding Technician Will Have:

• Practical experience within a welding, engineering or similar workshop environment
• Experience preparing and maintaining tools, equipment and materials
• Knowledge of workshop health and safety procedures
• The ability to maintain accurate stock levels and inventories
• A strong awareness of risk assessments and safe working practices
• A reliable, organised and proactive approach
