Job summary

Mactech Energy Group seeks a Welding Supervisor for the Hinkley Point C nuclear new build in Bridgwater. Start in November 2026 with a 10 days on / 4 days off rotation. Requires TIG and MMA welding experience to supervise onsite welding operations.

Applicants must hold LATS, IOSH Managing Safely or SSSTS and CCNSG Safety Passport before starting. Rates follow the Site Supervisors Agreement (SSA): Dayshift £33.23/hr, OT1 £46.53/hr, OT2 £59.82/hr, plus bonus up to £4.99/hr and lodge allowance of

Qualifications

• Experience supervising welding operations on large-scale projects.
• Proven TIG and MMA welding capability on live sites.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to enforce on-site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee welding activities to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and CCNSG/IOSH standards.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure smooth welding operations.

WELDING SUPERVISOR

HINKLEY POINT C, BRIDGWATER

LONG TERM OPPORTUNITY

STARTING NOVEMBER 2026

10 DAY ON / 4 DAY OFF ROTATION

Mactech require a Welding Supervisor with TIG and MMA experience for Hinkley Point C nuclear new build project.

To start November 2026, subject to vetting and onboarding.

LATS, IOSH Managing Safely or SSSTS plus CCNSG Safety Passport are essential prior to starting on site.

Rates are in line with Site Supervisors Agreement (SSA) as per below:

• Dayshift Rate: £33.23/hr
• OT1: £46.53/hr
• OT2: £59.82/hr
• Bonus: Up to £4.99/hr
• Lodge Allowance: £53.39/day (£373.73/week) - if eligible
• Travel: Return rail fare + travel time - if eligible
• Holidays: 20 days + public holidays
