Qualifications

• Experience in concrete/pre-cast sector or similar mechanical plant.
• Welding standards to BSEN ISO 9606-1.
• Overhead Crane Licence and MEWP 3a & 3b Licences.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe delivery of planned maintenance and welding repairs.
• Perform MIG welding and support a collaborative work environment.
• Carry out planned maintenance and fault reporting.

Job description

Salary: GBP18 - GBP20 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the safe delivery of preventative planned maintenance and welding repair/fault response for all areas of the “Green Tunnels” planet and surrounding areas.
2. Perform MIG welding with experience in industrial welding.
3. Support a secure, comfortable, and diverse work environment through collaboration and teamwork.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

1. Experience in the concrete/pre-cast sector, construction materials, or similar mechanical plant configuration.
2. Experience in medium/heavy industrial industry.
3. Good mechanical knowledge, including hydraulic systems.
4. Ability to work independently or within a team to fault find and use initiative.
5. Experience in carrying out planned maintenance and fault reporting.
6. Flexibility to work weekends when required.
7. Willingness to learn and adapt.
8. Basic fitting & stripping of hydraulic & pneumatic equipment (beneficial).
9. Use of hand tools for precise operations.

Working Hours & Position Details:

Working hours are 5am - 2pm, with occasional earlier starts. This is a temporary position with potential for permanent employment.

Qualifications and Training:

1. Recognised mechanical qualification & experience.
2. Welding standards to BSEN ISO 9606-1 for Single Sided Fillet Weld, Horizontal and Vertical Welds.
3. Secondary education standard.
4. Proficiency in English (reading and writing).
5. Basic safety training.
6. Overhead Crane Licence.
7. MEWP 3a and 3b Licence.
8. FLT Licence B1 & B2.
