Job summary

Glacier Energy is sourcing Welding Inspectors with pipeline welding experience to support a major UK gas network project. This role sits within a UK-wide framework and requires BGAS Welding Inspector credentials or CSWIP 3.1/3.2.

You will review WPS/WPQR, assess welder qualifications, and inspect welds against pipeline codes, with day-rate contractor terms and client site inductions as required.

Qualifications

• BGAS Welding Inspector preferred; CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 acceptable.
• Pipeline welding inspection experience mandatory.
• Knowledge of WPS, WPQR and welder qualifications.
• Review of NDT records and weld acceptance to codes.

Position

Glacier Energy is sourcing Welding Inspectors with pipeline welding experience to support an upcoming major UK gas network pipeline project. This role sits within a framework arrangement covering UK-wide sites.

Key Requirements

• BGAS Welding Inspector preferred; CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 acceptable
• Pipeline welding inspection experience mandatory
• Knowledge of WPS, WPQR and welder qualifications
• Review of NDT records
• Weld acceptance to pipeline codes and specifications

Typical Experience

• 10+ years welding inspection experience
• Transmission and distribution pipelines
• Carbon steel pipeline construction
• Repair and modification works
• Client and contractor QA audits

Requirements

• Ability to pass drug & alcohol (D&A) testing
• Confined Space Medium Risk certification
• Willingness to complete client site inductions as required
