Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment in Workington is seeking a Fabrication & Welding Trainer / Assessor to support and develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople. You will carry out workplace and remote assessments, guide apprentices through their learning journey to End Point Assessment, and work closely with employers to ensure progression.

The role is 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with a salary of £38,000–£40,000 plus a Local Government Pension Scheme and 39 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Welding, Fabrication, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Industrial experience within welding and fabrication.
• Assessor qualifications advantageous but not essential as training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support and assess fabrication and welding apprentices against apprenticeship standards.
• Carry out workplace and remote assessments, reviews, and progress meetings.
• Guide apprentices through their learning journey and End Point Assessment.
• Work closely with employers to support learner development and achievement.

Education
