Job summary

Interaction Engineering in Peterborough is seeking a motivated Apprentice Welder Fabricator to join the team. You will gain hands-on training, learn welding and fabrication skills, and work toward a recognised qualification.

On-the-job training is provided by experienced engineers, with a supportive environment and clear progression opportunities upon completion of the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Interest in engineering, welding, fabrication or manufacturing.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Good practical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Learn to fabricate and weld metal components.
• Assist manufacture and assemble bespoke engineering products.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings with guidance.
• Use workshop tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Develop MIG and TIG welding skills to industry standards.
• Support the fabrication team to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace.
