Job summary

Interaction Engineering in Peterborough is seeking an Apprentice Welder Fabricator to join our growing team. This on-site role offers hands-on training, a clear pathway to a recognised Welding & Fabrication Apprenticeship, and the chance to work on bespoke engineering projects under experienced engineers.

You will develop MIG and TIG welding skills to industry standards, learn to interpret drawings, and gain practical fabrication experience in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in engineering, welding, fabrication or manufacturing.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Good practical skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• GCSEs including Maths and English are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to fabricate and weld a variety of metal components.
• Assist with the manufacture and assembly of bespoke engineering products.
• Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings with guidance from experienced colleagues.
• Use workshop tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Develop MIG and TIG welding skills to industry standards.
• Support the fabrication team to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
