Job summary

ESCCO is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair welding and cutting equipment at customer sites across the UK and parts of the EU. You will support high-quality technical service and customer satisfaction while working across MIG, TIG, plasma and automation systems.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, perform routine maintenance, and complete service reports. A full UK driving licence and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Field Service Engineer or Service Technician in industrial equipment, welding, CNC, or similar.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with welding processes MIG/TIG/Arc/Plasma is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of automation systems, robotics or fume extraction systems is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and test welding and cutting equipment at customer sites.
• Service, fault-find and repair industrial welding equipment and related systems.
• Carry out routine maintenance, calibration and testing.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and control system faults.
• Provide technical advice and training to customers as needed.
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and industry standards.
• Represent ESCCO professionally on customer sites.
