Job Title: Welding Technician at British Sugar Factory

Location: British Sugar Factory, Wissington

Salary: £13 per hour

Working Hours: 7.30-16.00h Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

1. Perform overtime as required by factory demand.
2. Participate in the call-out rota.
3. Maintain a full UK driving license.
4. Ensure efficient and timely completion of work.
5. Carry out welding activities following British Sugar welding procedures and documentation, with recognized welding inspection capabilities.
6. Fabricate and pipe weld with competence.
7. Remain resilient under pressure.
8. Read, interpret, and follow method statements and procedures.
9. Prevent wastage and misuse of equipment, materials, and tools.
10. Implement and adhere to Health & Safety policies.
11. Follow EMCOR policies, procedures, and standards.
12. Provide professional, high-quality service with enthusiasm and commitment.
13. Comply with the EMCOR Code of Conduct.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Strong understanding of Health & Safety.
2. Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
3. Full UK Driving License.
4. Relevant welding qualifications, codes, and experience, including chemical and steam pipework (PSSR).
5. Experience in a similar role.
6. Highly motivated self-starter.
7. Ability to build effective relationships.
8. Reliable and organized.

Additional Factors:

1. Willingness to do overtime when required.
2. Ability to be part of the call-out rota.
