Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a MIG Welder for a Bristol-based role. You will weld bespoke parts for defence and aerospace, reading engineering drawings and joining components in a small team. A stable workload and progression opportunities are offered.

The role features a Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm schedule with early finish on Fridays, and optional overtime to increase earnings. Salary is £17–£19 per hour with 1.5x overtime and company benefits provided.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience and ability to weld to drawings.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends if required.

Are you a MIG Welder or Fabricator looking to put your expertise to use working on a range of small batch bespoke products within a small team where your skills and input are valued?

Do you want to improve your skillset MIG welding in fine limit sheet metal within the aerospace and defence industries, who can offer a stable workload and optional overtime to increase your earnings?

The company for over 50 years has specialised in manufacturing high-end components for the Aerospace, Defence, Oil and Gas industries.

In this varied role you will be responsible for welding high-quality bespoke parts for the Defence and Aerospace industries. You will use MIG welding techniques to join and shape metal components to specifications, working from engineering drawings. You will be part of a tight-knit team as you work Monday-Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm and 12:30 early finishes on Fridays with plenty of 1.5x overtime available to drastically increase your earnings.

This role would suit a Welder / Fabricator with a background in MIG welding looking for a position that offers career stability, a good work life balance and optional overtime to increase earnings.
