Permanent Opportunity

Location: Corby

Paying up to £18 per hour
Working hours: 7am till 4.30pm - Mon to Friday

Commutable from Kettering, Wellingborough, Northampton & surrounding areas

Job description

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Welder/Fitter.

The Role - Welder / Fitter:

1. Fabricate / weld - MIG mild steel & stainless steel welding as well as fitting & installing on site
2. To fabricate medium to heavy gauge metal components
3. Working from engineering drawings
4. Working independently and as part of a team
5. Travelling to sites all over the UK & occasional overnight stays

Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Welder / Fitter:

1. Have a good engineering background with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
2. Experience in site welding and fitting
3. A background in construction would be an advantage
4. Ability to work with all types of metals
5. Must have good attention to detail
6. Be able to finish a product to a very high standard
7. Be punctual and a good timekeeper
8. Be confident, organised and methodical
9. Be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to motivate others
10. Work well as a team member
11. Be able to problem solve and come up with solutions
12. Driving Licence essential as you will be driving a company van

1. Pay rate up to £18.00
