Job description

Impact Recruitment is proud to be working with a well-established, manufacturer in Daventry specialising in the automotive industry. They're now looking for a skilled MIG Welder/Fabricator to join their close-knit and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a welder who takes pride in precision work, enjoys a varied workload, and thrives in a clean, well-organised workshop environment. You'll be part of a business that values craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and long-term employment.

Salary: £14-15 an hour

Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Thursday, Early finish on Friday

Location: Daventry

Job Duties:

* MIG weld and fabricate a variety of seating products and accessories, primarily using tubular steel.

* Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications to produce safety-critical parts.

* Operate general engineering machinery including saws, press brakes, ironworkers, tube benders, and drill presses.

* Assist with basic CNC operations (training provided if needed).

* Maintain and carry out basic maintenance on workshop machinery and equipment.

* Ensure all work meets high quality and health & safety standards.

* Contribute to shop floor housekeeping and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years' MIG welding experience.

* City & Guilds Level 2 in Welding & Fabrication or equivalent preferred.

* Confident reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings.

* Basic CNC experience is an advantage.

* Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.

* Good written and verbal English.

* Positive, proactive team player.
