Job description

Welder Fabricator

A permanent vacancy has arisen within our client's Production Engineering Section for Fabricators & Welders. Please note the main base for this position is Falkirk.

Rate of Pay - 17ph, 39 hours pw with guaranteed O/T (Time & a half)

Fabricator

Requirements:

1. Fabricate steel components from fabrication drawings (beams, brackets, staircases, platforms, etc.).
2. Ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
3. Previous experience in steel fabrication (minimum 2 years preferred).
4. Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
5. Skilled with hand tools, fabrication machinery, and measuring equipment.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. CSCS card or equivalent health and safety qualification (preferred).

Welder

Key Responsibilities:

1. Weld and fabricate structural steel components including beams, columns, and frames.
2. Read and interpret fabrication drawings.
3. Conduct visual weld inspections and quality checks.
4. Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in structural steel welding and fabrication.
2. Proficiency in MIG welding.
3. Valid welding certifications; CSCS card would be an advantage.
4. Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
