Job summary

Advanced Engineering Techniques (AET) in Sheffield is seeking an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our hands-on fabrication team. You will build parts from drawings, working with steel, stainless and aluminium, and ensure assemblies are completed to exacting standards.

Day shift with regular hours, competitive hourly pay (£15.88 per hour DOE) and a supportive, safety-focused environment. On-site at our Holbrook Avenue facility with pension, health cover, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ MIG welding experience.
• Confidence reading technical drawings and using precision tools.
• A focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate parts from drawings using MIG welding.
• Work with steel, stainless steel and aluminium; ensure accuracy.
• Maintain quality and safety standards on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with team to complete assemblies to specification.

The Role

MIG Welder/Fabricator

• Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 4:30pm, Friday 7:00am to 11:00am
• Pay: £15.88 an hour (DOE)

Location: 9-15 Holbrook Avenue, Sheffield

You’ll be working with steel, stainless and aluminium — building parts from drawings and making sure they’re done right. Whether you’re welding complex assemblies or handling routine jobs, you’ll have the tools, training, and trust to get it done.
