Anne Corder Recruitment is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for a hands-on, varied role in Sandy, UK. You will contribute to building high-quality processing equipment for clients across the UK and overseas, working within a supportive team to ensure precision workmanship.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate up to £20ph plus overtime, a 39-hour week from Monday to Friday, and a range of benefits including a pension, life assurance, sick pay and company events.

Qualifications

• Experience welding and fabricating stainless steel, including pipework and purge welding.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with tolerances.
• Good understanding of fabrication techniques and sheet-metal machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality welding and fabrication in stainless steel (1.0mm–12mm).
• Use TIG and MIG welding processes accurately.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Operate fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
• Work with production team or onsite at client sites as needed.
• Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, attendance and timekeeping.
• Contribute to quality engineering practices in the factory.

Welder Fabricator - Up to £20ph plus overtime - Sandy

Welder/Fabricator Key Responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality welding and fabrication in stainless steel (1.0mm–12mm), including pipework and purge welding.
• Use TIG and MIG welding processes with confidence and accuracy.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, including tolerances and bend allowances.
• Operate fabrication and sheet‑metal machinery safely and effectively.
• Work collaboratively within the production team or on client sites when required.
• Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, discipline, attendance, and timekeeping.
• Contribute to strong quality engineering practices within the factory environment.

Skills & Experience Required as a Welder/Fabricator

• Strong experience in stainless steel welding and fabrication using TIG and MIG.
• Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of fabrication techniques, sheet‑metal machinery, and tolerances.
• A team‑focused approach with a proactive attitude to quality and safety.
• City & Guilds qualifications or an Engineering Apprenticeship (advantageous but not essential).
• Flexibility to work reasonable overtime when required.
