Job summary

Interaction Engineering in the UK is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join its workshop team. You will produce a range of bespoke corten steel products from technical drawings, welding, fabricating and finishing items for installation or delivery to customers.

The role requires strong MIG welding skills, the ability to read drawings, excellent attention to detail, and a cooperative work style. This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime and career progression.

The Role

As a Welder/Fabricator, you'll be responsible for producing a range of bespoke corten steel products to the highest standards. Working from technical drawings, you'll fabricate, weld, and finish products ready for installation or delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding and fabrication of steel products

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings

• Cutting, grinding, drilling, and preparing materials

• Fabricating bespoke products to tight tolerances

• Carrying out quality checks throughout production

• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment

• Working collaboratively with the production team to meet production deadlines

• Assisting with continuous improvements in manufacturing processes

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator

• Strong MIG welding skills

• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Good problem-solving skills

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience working with corten steel, mild steel, or stainless steel

• TIG welding experience

• Experience using fabrication machinery and workshop equipment

• Full UK driving licence
