Job summary
Omega in Blaenavon is seeking a Fabricator/Welder to fabricate and weld light to medium gauge steel according to detailed drawings. You will liaise with other shop departments to ensure outputs meet required standards.
Role is permanent with a 39-hour week: Monday-Thursday 7.00 am–4.00 pm and Friday 7.00 am–12.00 pm. Salary is up to £32,448, with benefits and overtime opportunities available.
Qualifications
- Experience in fabrication environment (engineering or metal work).
- Demonstrable experience of MIG and TIG welding and fabrication especially with welding mild steel and stainless steel.
- Experience of reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
- Fabrication and Welding qualification or time served apprenticeship.

We are now seeking to recruit Welder/ Fabricator for a busy manufacturing company based in Blaenavon to fabricate and weld of light to medium gauge steel in line with the detailed engineering drawing provided, occasionally liaising with other departments of the fabrication shop to ensure the fabrication is to the standard required.
- Read, interpret and follow engineering plans, drawings and instructions to ensure exact specifications of output
- Fabricating work in various gauge metals (light to medium)

- Tig welding (predominately stainless steel)
