Job summary

Union Industries in Leeds is seeking a Welder / Fabricator to join the fabrication shop. The role offers an attractive benefits package and a competitive hourly rate of £13.73. You will weld, drill, tap, cut, plasma cut and fabricate our range of high-speed doors and related products.

The ideal candidate has Mig welding qualifications, can read drawings, and is willing to pass a weld test. Overtime is available to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Mig welding.
• Experience preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
• Ability to use automated machinery and hand tools.
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude, good communicator, and organisation skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Keeping accurate time records of all work undertaken.
• Candidate will be required to pass a weld test.

Responsibilities

• Door preparation including Mig welding, drilling, tapping, cutting, plasma cutting and fabrication.
• Assemble products within our manufacturing scope.
• Work to production deadlines.
• Read engineering drawings.
• Quality check own work.
• Maintain good communication with team.

Welder / Fabricator

Salary: £13.73 Circa per hour

This position will suit a multi skilled person who has a natural ability to work well with their hands and his able to use their own

initiative to produce quality products.

Key Job Requirements:

Hours of work – 39 per week: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4pm & Friday 7:30am - 3pm.

The candidate must be willing to work overtime as and when dictated by workload.
